The SCRIN/SCREEN system is a true innovation in the field of computer storage and of the enhancement of cultural heritage. Documents in various formats and from different sources are now available on digital media and are easy to access thanks to a portal managed via the multimedia workstations in the “Luigi Heilmann” Room, or it can be reached directly through the network.

SCRIN stands for “Sistema Creativo di Ricerca Integrata” (Creative Integrated Research System), but it also alludes to the Ladin term scrin, “lo scrigno" (meaning treasure chest), a place in which the most precious things are kept, and, at the same time, it also sounds like the English word “screen”, the interactive screen that allows you to get to know and let others know about this treasure.

Ethnographic films and videos, interviews and documents on folk singing, period images and contemporary photos, catalogue records of objects of material culture, texts, literary excerpts and bibliographical indications can all be viewed by simply searching by sector or by keyword. It is a very effective tool for supporting individual searches, group activities or simple curiosity.
